Norman J. Weber, 86 of Luna Pier, MI, died Friday, February 20, 2015, in his home. Born, July 5, 1928, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Edward F. and Augusta M. (Gerhardstein) Weber. Norman was a graduate of the former Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in Toledo and then served his country in the US Army at Ft. Benning, Georgia during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed as a guard by E.I. DuPont for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 193, Luna Pier, MI. Norman loved ballroom dancing, camping, fishing, golfing, woodworking and traveling the United States.
He is survived by his sister, Rita Feyes, Sister-in-law, Donna L. Weber, nieces, Linda Weber and Barbara Bauchman and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Louis (Killed in WWII) and Kenneth Weber and sister, Marie Boltz.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo, OH.
